Haircare App

Your haircare app for product analysis, routines, and tracking

Curlify helps you scan products, analyze ingredients, build routines, and track your hair over time so you can stop guessing what actually works.

Curlify app home screen

One haircare app, three connected workflows

Curlify is strongest when you use the full loop: analyze products, build routines around what fits, then track how your hair responds over time.

Analyze Products

Scan a barcode, search for a product, or photograph the label to understand cleansing strength, product weight, buildup risk, and more.

Decode Ingredients

See practical formula signals like protein intensity, humectants, irritation risk, heat protection confidence, and Curly Girl Method compatibility.

Match To Your Hair

Set your pattern, porosity, thickness, density, scalp type, and goals so the same product is judged in context instead of in the abstract.

Find Better Products

Search by product or brand, compare likely fit, and use filters to narrow down formulas that align with your hair goals.

Build Routines

Create step-by-step wash day routines, schedule them on a calendar, and organize what you use when your hair needs different levels of care.

Track Results

Log frizz, definition, dryness, shine, and scalp feel so Curlify can connect products and routines to real outcomes.

How the app fits into real haircare decisions

Set up your profile once, then use Curlify before buying a product, while building routines, and after wash day when you want to understand the result.

1

Check a product

Snap a photo of the ingredient list or scan the barcode when you want to know whether a product looks heavy, drying, protein-rich, or likely to fit your hair.

2

Turn it into a routine

Add the products that make sense to a repeatable routine so you are not rebuilding your wash day from scratch every time.

3

Track what happened

Log your results and let Curlify connect the dots between the products you used, the routine you followed, and how your hair actually responded.

Tracking hair progress in Curlify

A haircare app that gets smarter the more you use it

Curlify becomes more useful as you log products, routines, and outcomes. Instead of isolated scans, you get a growing record of what your hair tends to like, reject, or need more of.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Curlify and how it helps you find the right products for your hair.

How does the ingredient scanner work?

Curlify supports two scanning methods. You can scan a product's barcode (EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code128, Code39) to look it up in our database, or photograph the ingredient list directly. When scanning an image, AI extracts the text, identifies each ingredient, and analyzes them against your hair profile. You get a full breakdown in seconds.

What hair types does Curlify support?

All of them. During onboarding you set your hair pattern (straight, wavy, curly, coily, or locs), strand thickness (fine, medium, coarse), density (low, medium, high), porosity (low, normal, high), scalp oiliness (dry, normal, oily), and your climate (dry, humid, cold, variable). You also choose from 11 hair goals like reducing frizz, adding volume, preserving color, and more. Every analysis and recommendation adjusts to your unique profile.

What does the ingredient analysis actually show?

Each product is analyzed across multiple dimensions: cleansing level, product weight, buildup risk, humectant intensity, protein level, irritation risk, heat protection confidence, frizz control, and detangling ability. You also get an overall verdict (good match, ok with caveats, or not ideal) based on your hair profile. Premium users see detailed reasoning for each ingredient and specific warning explanations.

Is Curlify free?

Yes. Product search, barcode scanning, and browsing are completely free and unlimited. You always get a partial ingredient analysis on any product. The free tier includes 3 label scans per month (photographing an ingredient list to extract ingredients). Premium unlocks 150 label scans per month, full detailed analysis with reasoning, personalized insights and trend charts, and advanced explore filters. You can upgrade any time from within the app.

Does Curlify support the Curly Girl Method (CGM)?

Yes. During onboarding you can enable strict CGM mode. When active, the analysis automatically flags sulfates, silicones, and other CGM-avoided ingredients. Non-compliant products are marked as "not ideal," and explore filters will only show CGM-safe products.

How do insights and trend tracking work?

Each day you can log how your hair looks and feels across six metrics: frizz, definition, dryness, scalp feel, shine, and an overall rating. After 7 daily logs, you unlock trend charts showing how your hair is changing over time. After 7 logs and 3 completed routine events, Curlify starts surfacing product correlations, identifying your hero products and flagging ones that may be causing issues. You can view trends across 7, 30, or 90 day windows.

What product categories can I scan?

Curlify supports shampoo, co-wash, conditioner, deep conditioner, leave-in, curl cream, gel, mousse, oil, serum, protein treatment, clarifying shampoo, and more. You can also create custom products if something doesn't fit a standard category.

Is Curlify available on both iOS and Android?

Yes. Curlify is available on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android. Both platforms have the same features, including barcode scanning, ingredient analysis, routine building, and daily tracking.
